Welcome to Lawyers Local. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully as they contain important information about your legal rights, remedies, and obligations. By accessing or using the Lawyers Local website, mobile applications, or any other services provided by Lawyers Local (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will provide notice of such changes, such as by sending an email notification, providing notice through the Services, or updating the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of these Terms. Your continued use of the Services following notification of changes will constitute your acceptance of such changes. If you do not agree with any modifications to these Terms, you must immediately stop accessing and using the Services.

Eligibility

Account Registration

Attorney Listings and Verification

Lawyers Local provides a platform for attorneys to list their services and for users to find legal professionals. We make reasonable efforts to verify the credentials of attorneys listed on our platform, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information provided by attorneys.

Attorneys who list their services on our platform are responsible for ensuring that all information they provide is accurate, current, and complies with applicable laws and regulations, including rules of professional conduct governing attorney advertising in their jurisdiction.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Lawyers Local is not a law firm and does not provide legal services. No attorney-client relationship is created by using our Services. The Services are designed to connect users with attorneys, but any legal representation must be established directly between the user and the attorney.

User Content

Our Services may allow you to post, submit, publish, display, or transmit content, including but not limited to text, photographs, videos, and other materials (collectively, "User Content"). You retain all rights in, and are solely responsible for, the User Content you post to the Services.

By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, modify, create derivative works based on, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, and otherwise exploit in any manner such User Content in all formats and distribution channels now known or hereafter devised (including in connection with the Services and Lawyers Local's business and on third-party sites and services), without further notice to or consent from you, and without the requirement of payment to you or any other person or entity.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Violate or encourage others to violate the rights of third parties, including intellectual property rights
• Post, upload, or distribute any User Content that is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, inaccurate, or that a reasonable person could deem to be objectionable, profane, indecent, pornographic, harassing, threatening, embarrassing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate
• Interfere with security-related features of the Services
• Interfere with the operation of the Services or any user's enjoyment of the Services
• Use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper, or other automated means to access the Services
• Attempt to circumvent any technological measure implemented by Lawyers Local to protect the Services
• Attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software used to provide the Services

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to and use of the Services, at our sole discretion, at any time and without notice to you. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us at support@lawyerslocal.org. Upon any termination, discontinuation, or cancellation of the Services or your account, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive will survive, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution provisions.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. LAWYERS LOCAL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICES OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE THE SERVICES AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LAWYERS LOCAL AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES; (III) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICES; AND (IV) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT LAWYERS LOCAL HAS BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lawyers Local and its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of, or related to, these Terms or the Services shall be instituted exclusively in the federal courts of the United States or the courts of the State of New York, in each case located in the City of New York and County of New York.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Lawyers Local regarding the use of the Services, superseding any prior agreements between you and Lawyers Local relating to your use of the Services.
